Tasks and Google Tasks

Add, finish, snooze and change tasks, and keep them in Google Tasks.

In the web app

Add a task with + on Today or on the Tasks page: a title, a role and, if you like, a due date and time.

While the task is being added, the button says Adding… and cannot be pressed again. If the save fails, the form keeps what you typed and focuses the error so you can correct it. When the Tasks list has no tasks, Add task opens the new task form.

A date without a time is due at 23:59.

The round Done check finishes a task and offers Undo for five seconds.

Snooze offers Later today, Tomorrow 09:00 and Next week.

On a task's own page you change its title, role or due date, or delete it after a confirmation.

The Tasks page groups your tasks into Today, This week, Later and Done. Choose All or a role above the list. The role stays in the page URL, so you can save or share that view. Headquarters shows Tasks by role with what is due today or overdue, the first three open tasks per role and a Done control. Open a role's cockpit to see its tasks there too.

When you approve an obligation's reminder on the approvals desk, it becomes a checklist task: its title names the documents to send, and it is due on the obligation's due date.

Google Tasks

zonask syncs the default task list of each connected Google account in both directions. You can also choose a Google Tasks list as the home for one role's new tasks. zonask then syncs that list in both directions too.

A new task in Google Tasks appears in zonask in the role of its account; its notes are never read.

Done, undo, edits and deletes reach Google Tasks on the next sync, and the most recent change wins.

A task you add stays in zonask unless its role has a Google Tasks list or you pick an account under Also in Google Tasks. A role's chosen list takes precedence.

Snooze and role stay in zonask, because Google Tasks has neither.

If Google deletes a chosen list, the role returns to zonask and shows one notice. Tasks you already have stay where they are.

In Claude or ChatGPT

list_tasks shows your open tasks, optionally for one role by slug or ID, as the tasks carousel where the host supports it. Ask, for example, “Show my Example role tasks.”

create_task adds a task after you say yes.

show_task shows one task, and change_task edits, finishes, reopens, snoozes or deletes it after your confirm.
