The four areas of zonask, where each page lives, and the setup banner.

The four areas

zonask has four areas: Headquarters, Brain, Runs and Setup.

On a computer they sit in the bar at the top, with your email and Sign out at the right; on a phone they sit in the bar at the bottom, and your email and Sign out are behind Menu.

The area you are in is highlighted.

The zonask name at the top always opens Headquarters.

If a page takes time to load, zonask shows a placeholder after a short delay. If the page cannot be read, Try again reloads it, and Headquarters takes you home. Motion is removed when your device requests reduced motion.

Where each page lives

Headquarters is your home: Today with your timeline, and cards that open Inbox, Calendar, Tasks with your commitments, and Expenses.

Brain holds People and the search in your second brain.

It starts with Tell your brain, where you type or speak something you learned and save it in your second brain.

Runs is the run room: what runs next for each of your agents, with its schedule and status; what waits for your yes, answered right there; your recent agent and standing-order runs with their cost and, on a failure, why; what zonask learned, with Yes, No and Undo; and the weekly tuning. A Role and an Agent filter narrow the first three; an unknown filter shows everything instead. The Agents tab keeps your month spend and each agent's last 8 weeks.

Setup holds Roles and every settings page: accounts, calendar mirroring, the work account, the second brain, the daily summary, the urgent channel, notices, commitments, expenses and Delete all my data.

Every page keeps its address, so old links keep working; the old Today and Settings addresses open Headquarters and Setup.

The setup banner

While a setup step is missing, Headquarters shows Continue your setup. with the steps left, and Continue opens Setup at the first of them.

Connect your world is done when a connected Google account's calendar is set to My calendar and no Google account needs you. An account that asks for a role, a new sign-in or a working sync makes the step not done.

Your second brain is done when your second brain is connected and answers. One that did not answer, or asks you to sign in again, makes the step not done.

Direct it is done when you have at least one role and at least one open goal; until then the banner names it Direct it: set goals. Goals are on Setup under Goals.

zonask checks the steps each time you open the page and stores nothing about them; when all three are done, the banner goes away.

Your daily brief comes first on Headquarters: each morning from 07:00 a focus line and up to three moves tied to your goals; see Goals and the daily brief.

Roles at a glance on Headquarters shows one tile per role with its health, and each tile opens that role's cockpit; Runs has an Agents tab with your agents' results; see Roles on Headquarters.

In Claude or ChatGPT

setup_status tells which setup steps are missing and which tool or page does each one.

Connecting accounts and a second brain happens only in the browser.

Connection states in Setup

Setup names each Google account, your calendar, calendar mirroring, Second brain and Productive. Connected means the saved connection is working. Ready to connect means you can set it up. Needs you names what to fix. Not possible means Productive lacks what zonask needs. A part that could not be read says so; Setup does not count it as done. The Accounts card says how many of your accounts are connected and how many need you, and Your calendar names a connected My calendar account before one that needs you. The Work account card shows no state until a request to your IT is stored.

For a Google account, Choose a role for this account. opens Accounts to assign one; Sign in to Google again. asks you to reconnect; Google did not answer the last sync. asks you to check sync. Choose which calendar is yours. opens Accounts to mark My calendar. For Second brain, Your second brain did not answer. asks you to check its server and Sign in to your second brain again. asks you to reconnect. For Productive, Sign in to Productive again. asks you to reconnect, Productive did not answer. asks you to try it again, and Productive does not offer what zonask needs. means this connection cannot be used.

Copy setup list copies one plain-text line for each connection, with its state and reason. The page says Copied. after a successful copy. It includes your own connected account addresses, without tokens. A part that could not be read has its own line, Could not be read.

In Claude, ask “Is everything connected?” The setup_status read lists the connections that need you first, then the three setup steps and their links. Connecting still opens in the browser.
